Caño Cristales, located in Serrenia de la Macerana is known as the most beautiful river of the world. Throughout the year it looks just like any normal river, but it is during the month of September and November that it undergoes the transition.
The river turns into pink, red, blue, green and yellows at various spots all because of the various types of flora that grows on the riverbed. The flora, weather and the environment holds an important role in making this river the most stunning and colorful river of the world.
Caño Cristales has many waterfalls and rapids throughout its route. Also, there are rocks, pebbles, cavities and circular formations that contribute to the growth of flora and river’s unique look.
